Description

By the end of my 2 week trip my waterproof trousers were holed by the corrosion of guano.  The pink streaks on the belly of the penguins is dribbled regurgitated krill from being fed and feeding the young. The rookeries look like pink stains from a distance and if the wind was in the right direction I smelt them a couple of miles away at sea. The birds paid absolutely no attention to me sitting amongst them. They a brilliant models as the return again and again to certain postures.
